Hello and welcome to your RPG guild, I'd just like to take this opportunity and invite you to join one of our RPGs or to create one of your own. I'm not going to be very strict or anything about characterization (as i, myself have been scared off of some RPGs for being too silly) so here are some guidelines (that you probably already know) that I wanted to post up, in case there any questions.
-On the title, specify if it is a "private" or "public" RPG. (sometimes. the name says it all) You can also put this information and whether it is serious, semi serious, or just plain for fun on the first post before the actual RPG.
-On the RPGs themselves, usually you put the character bio, descriptions, history and other things before you start your part of the story.
-If you are disrupting any RPG or are using foul language or putting down others, you may be either suspended, kicked off or just told off (depending on the severity of the situation).
-If you are having trouble with a person, please report the person to me rather than trying to take care of it yourself. You'll probably only cause one of those threads that go on for four pages about who said what and some fight about either religion, music, politics, or some crzy thing i could never think of. If you yourself are a mod and wish to take care of it yourself then by all means do it, as long as it you know what you are doing.
If there are any further questions, feel free to PM me with your question and I'll get back to you as soon as i can.
You can also move from one room to another on this board if you wish. For example, start on one RPG in the commons and got to say... the restroom, its up to you really. Just no multiple threads of the same room (unless the thread is restricted to serious RPG-ers or a certain house or something like that) , its kinda annoying. You can type in "continued from insert thread name here to save time on typing up your bio or whatever.
Questions? PM me, Hermione Potter, or ~QuewlSilverBeardMan~ with any.
Also you can contact me if you have any problems. Eliana and I are here to help not to judge.
Some more guidelines:
1. Dont abandon your rpg. If you start it make sure that your also there to finish it. This also means that you start one and never come back to it again, which isnt allowed.
2. There is not set limit to how many posts u can have. If you start a rpg and you feel that its getting to many pages ask one of us to filter it ( get rid of all the junk) and we will be happy to do so.
3. Remember that if you didnt start and rpg then you dont tell the rules for the rpg.
4. Tattle dont yell. This means that if somebody else is doing something that you dont like tell one of us and dont yell at that person.
5. Only post rpgs that are appropriate.
6. Just because i said that its okay to tattle dont overflow our inboxes with them.
7. Respect other peoples discissions. If they kindly say that they dont want you on their rpg....... GET WITH THE PROGRAM! DONT GO ON IT ANYWAYS!
8. Have fun without swearing.
9. No GodPlaying... GodPlaying is when you make people do things without them doing it... example:
Jim and Bob are in an RPG:
Jim: Then Bob walked over to the window and killed himself by jumping out...
Those are the basic rules of this board. They may seem like a lot to remember, but dont try to memorize them. If you are doing what you are suppost to do in an rpg then u arent breaking a rule , so no need to sit here for 90 minutes closing yur eyes, reciting them and then seeing if your right.
Thanks,
~QuewlSilverBeardMan~, Eliana, and Hermione Potter
i know this may happen but if your RPG reaches over 100 pages, the mods will be locking it and will start a new one. just want to let you know.
