I dont no about the rest of you guys but i thought the movies was really terrible. It left out half the book all the whole story line was incorrect and the setting was crap. The first two movies were way better and the other director needs to come back. HP are awsome books and the movie ruined the 3rd Book. I was really dissapointed in the movie.

ahh - thats your personal opinion
I thought the movie was great - better than the 2nd but not as good as the 1st - but then again none will be as grand as the 1st movie
and no movie ruins any book - they are two different mediums....if there was no book and only a movie - you would have loved it .... give props where props are due
and Chris Columbus is not coming back to direct anytime soon -
and its spelled know..not no
that should be on the pet peeve section too !

I thought it was really good. Much better than the first two. I mean, the only MAJOR change was the thing with the firebolt, and it didnt really matter. He got it, it was a good ending. The only thing that upset me was that they didnt explain who Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs were.

Yeah - that should have been in there - probably will be part of movie 4
I thought the note that Sirius sent that said Harry could go to Hogsmeade signed by Sirius should have been in there as well

the thing that upset me was it was a bit rushed, and they didnt have the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup. but it was really good still

Yea i mean they have a certain budget on the films.... and the trio are child actors which means there are certain laws on how much they can act a day and stuff like that... so its impossible to include it all.... and i thought the movie was much better than the first 2, it kinda lost that disney feeling

oh! i know what you mean! it wasnt so damn corny! but i do think, that with the time they had, it could have been better. it was still the best so far, but still rushed, as you said ginny. and no quidditch cup! one quidditch scene, and you only saw herry go through the clouds, no other part of quidditch. that was a little disappointing...

I saw the movie today, It was disappointing. The direction was good. But....I dunno...It was just so....rushed. And did they really have to change the whole set? Half of Hogwarts students would be dead by now falling off all those cliffs. Oh well, It was still over all, an okay movie. The acting improved, thats good!

I thought the set was beautiful, personally...nobody can't say that the part with Buckbeat and Harry wasn't perfection!

The movie was over all good but I have alot of issues with it. Which just helps to prove that it is a great movie if I can get over those issues and like it!

okay.. rushed. that comes up a lot it seems.
id say it was fast-paced. but there were so many parts important to the plot that we have another issue like with the first movie where half the book had to be cut out or the movie would be six hours long. once i got used to that pace i could go along with it fine. maybe when it come out on dvd you can watch it a few times and tune into the quick rhythm. (i was warned about it beforehand by an L.A. Review, so maybe thats why i wasnt bothered by it)
i must say i loved the directing. magic is turning into part of harry's everyday life now, instead of just being some strange new wonder. youre right it did have a disney-ish feel before, and the new focus on emotion rather than visual fantasy is way more entertaining.
to sum it up, i was impressed. and im sorry that this director is not staying either.

^Well I totally agree, I loved cuarons style of directing. he can capture all the emotions from pure happiness (flying buckbeak) over melancolic (harry and lupin talking about lily and james) to anger and sadness (harry crying after the tree broomsticks scene).
I hope Newell keeps to the new style. BTW cuaron did not do GOF (it was offered to him) only because he had be finishing PoA and preparing GoF at the same time, he might come back for OotP...

He'd be good for OotP. ANd remember, it's not Cuarons fault it was rushed, that would be the people who wrote the screenplay.

Kind of odd..
