Congradulations! I can't give any good advice, seeing that i'm only 14, but just make sure you don't spin off the road into old ladies.

I have my permit for the summer, cuz I failed my first practical driving exam and have to retake it in October. Comfort yourself with this: never in a million years will you be as bad a driver as Elysium.

um.... dont run into any mail boxes, *hangs head*, while you have your permit, dont drive without a licensed driver in the car, *hangs head even further*, and dont steal your dads BMW when he isnt home. *head hits the ground*

I can't drive yet, but I HAVE GOOD ADVICE.
If you are driving a stick, and you have to stop, make sure its in correct gear, otherwise the car starts backing up without you noticing. This happened to someone I know when a perosn backed into them when they stopped and they were driving a stick.

Or an Impala for that matter. But...he did just get a new car, so I've got to be really careful with it. It's one of those new Prius hybrids. Gets pretty good mileage. Oh yeah! Orli, you have a bug, right? Cuz that's my favoritest car ever!!! I'm trying to convince my dad to trade in his old Explorer for one. He just spent a bunch of money on the Prius though (he got a 6 cd cd changer, and he listens to the radio!), so I'm aiming for just a used one. Anyways, thanks for the advice. I'll try to remember not to hit any old ladies or mailboxes for you guys.

My dad gets a new car every 3 years from his company. He taught me on the Impala, and it's super touchy, so I totally mess up when I drive the school van. At least that's my excuse.

Grrr... I'm supposed to be a gradelower than I am now, so I am so much younger than everyone else! My friends have all started drivers ed, but I can't 'cause I'm still not old enough.
Grr... Lucky duck.
advice: Watch out for fire hydrants.

Well I have my permit 4 years now (we are only allowed to drive when we're 18) So, good advice, do not think you can drive when you pass the exam! You actually need half a year of practice to master it... It's because in the beginning your brain is busy with the driving proces! Later the driving becomes so automatic that you can concentrate on traffic and that's how it should be...
