But... the history of the Mongol empire and the development of flushing toilets and the genetic modification of tomatos IS entertaining!!! Better than some moronic chat show where people whinge about their boyfriends dumping them, anyway. Or some even more moronic soap where people pretend to whinge about their boyfriends dumping them. Or most moronic of all, some 'reality' TV show where people whinge about their blind date dumping them. Ye gods I hate that stuff! Nah, I like my TV either really real - i.e. documentaries, or really unreal, like Star Trek. Or comedy, of course. Can't go wrong with a bit of Blackadder or something.

I hate reality tv too. It's not real! When in real life are people going to have spiders crawling all over them just to win money? And soaps are stupid. Ah, a good old tv show is Soap. It makes fun of soapoperas. It's sooo funny and it gets more and more complicated as it goes.

I liked watching the American Idol auditions. They're the best.
You know what, after all our conversations last night, I have this unexplainable urge to read a book about Discoworld...

Jenifer Government for books. set in near future where american capitalism and consumerism has taken over most of the world. everything is privatised even teh government! poeple take on the name of the place they work for, for example john nike. entertaining and thoughtf provoking. though in final third of book u get the feeling this was written to be a movie. and surpruise it is being turned into one by george clooney's company.

Black Books! Yes yes yes!!!! Fantastic series!!!! Sheer genius, the whole thing! Remember that bit at the end of the very first episode, where he opens the door to the Jehovah's Witnesses and they just scream and run away? ROFLMHO! And that holiday episode where they spend two weeks changing planes? Oh wow... I really miss british sitcoms... Father Ted and Red Dwarf and Fawlty Towers and Gimme Gimme Gimme and Goodness Gracious me and Have I got News for you and the Young ones and oh... the list is endless...

Aww, I hate when they talk about cool British shows I'll never get to see. I'm still disappointed we don't get Jamie Oliver...
