I was just wondering if this was common or not: My sixth grade english teacher has a bunch of the first HP books that dont say "Year One" on them because she purchased them right after they came out and before there was going to be a sequel. Do you guys think that they could be worth some money in some years? Do you know if they are all that common? Thanks.

No it wasn't, there were always sequels planned. You'd save yourself loads of trouble if you just asked me these things, Col. BTW, do you have my G encyclopedia? I know I'll forget to ask you later...

I'm the one that moved both gigantic sets into my room while you sat on the bed and ate ice cream. Anyways, it doesn't matter because it turns out it was under my bed...I was looking up Gandhi. But you still have one of mine... LOL, and he's right, we do watch that show...it's fun!

Oh my gorsh! I have an Uncle Bob too! Is your Uncle Bob the type of generic Uncle Bob who's not as mature as most men his age? Cuz I guess that's what they're all supposed to be like. But the first edition HP's are very expensive, although I highly doubt the ones you're talking about are first edition if they even exist.

We never really saw our Uncle Bob, except once a year we'd all go swimming at his house, just the teenagers. That's all I really remember about him.

well, if he's inviting a whole bunch of teenagers to go swimming at his house, that's pretty generic Uncle Bob...lol my parents are usually in a wrec after having just two of my friends over.

Flog them??? *beats the book* ?? I believe she means to sell them... The Antiques Road Show. Yah...I think the best part of the whole thing is when the expert is winding up the owner....all like "This is a really marvelous piece you have brought in today...excellent condition, really...how much did you pay for it?" Customer goes "30 dollars" Experts say "Really? Well...this piece is really nice and all, but....IT IS ONLY WORTH FIVE BUCKS" I like it when they torture the owners like that....heh heh
