Why will other hippies be mad at us? I mean dude, who ever heard of a mad hippi?
Oh, and I can't resist saying this; Jesus was a hippi.

Well, here I am. Greenflower Goldendawn. The peace rally was great! Today was an international peace protest. We were in Des Moines, Iowa. At 1:00 p.m. we marched in a five-mile long circle on the most used roads in the city. The coordinators for the event had a city permit to hold the march. The police even directed traffic at all of the corners we had to turn at.
After the march we went to Drake University, just where the march ended, and went to a rally in the student hall. They had a lot of speakers talking about the cost of the war. The one thing that really shocked me was that the state of Iowa had spent enough money on the war this year alone to send 13,875 students through four years of any college in the state! That really hurts, considering I am facing massive student loans. State schools are having to cut their budgets, so the country can build bombs. Over 300 teachers in Iowa have been layed off.
One of the better groups to speak were the Raging Grannies! They were these really old ladies, who had created new lyrics to common songs, all about how George Bush has lied about the war, and how Ashcroft is a freaking moron...Their words! Go Grannies! I had an amazing experience.
Another speaker talked about how all of the European countries that are involved in Iraq right now are figuring out that it is pointless and pulling out. Hooray! Bush may call them cowardly, but it takes real courage to stand up to Mr. Crazy the President and say that it is morally wrong to be in Iraq.
Sorry to all of you who couldn't make it to your own rallies (Amiphist). It was amazing.
Peace out
