Yeah... a translator is a good idea. But I'm actually kind of relieved that I don't have to make my own policy about language. If I don't understand what you are saying, I cannot really make a judgement on whether it follows my rules or not. And relying on complaints isn't my style because I'm generally a liberal bunny. But I also have to know if someone is crossing a line that ought not be crossed. So yeah, I would probably issue a similar policy if ProBoards didn't already have it. I would negate that policy, however, if there was a reliable translator on the internet, which I'm doubting there ever will be, especially when it comes to the profane and/or obscene. Anyway, just thought it was about time to throw in my two cents here. DYH That makes a lot of sense, Dienne, I never thought about it. Sorry.

DYH I took that (ACT) in the seventh grade for this program, to see what it was like. Man, my head hurt so much after that, I was just guessing on all the math and science questions. I got a 23, although I hope that's nowhere near what I'll get when I take it for real. That would just bite.

hey now 23 is five point above most college acceptance requirements, and i think the national average is 20.
so i took it again today. and it sucked. it seemed like this time around, there wasnt enough time to finish the tests. i got through english and math okay, but reading and science were just ... a mind-rape. evil. science put too much emphasis on the math of chemistry and not enough on just knowing what things are. and reading is always too open-ended for my taste - and i dont like the crap passages they choose. ... so im anticipating a few points lower than my previous 33. ugh. 26 bucks down the drain.

That would just bite. i took that going into 6th grade for this like, challenge thing or something and i got a 17....not too good. but i guessed on like, all the science questions, half the math questions. but, hey, i was only going into 6th grade! i was still 10 (or 11 i cant remember what day i took it....my bday is a summer birthday, so...) but i hope i do a LOT better when i really take it....it was just for practice or something, i did really well on my ISAT (or CAT tests, i cant remember which one) , so i got to take this test just to see what it was like
