its fun to have a change once in a while. like at halloween, changing it to say what you're dressed as, or other occasions.

I was thinking about changing my name, since I can't play volleyball anymore... But I can't think of anything to change it to...

carla is a feminine form of charles, which comes from a germanic word meaning man, so my name means like, womanly. ick. however, charles is the english name of charlemagne, a distant ancestor of mine, charles the great.

I looked up my name on behindthename.com and this is what I found:
KATHERINE f Usage: English Pronounced: KATH-u-rin, KATH-rin From the Greek name Aikaterine. The etymology is debated: it could derive from the earlier Greek name Hekaterine, which came from hekateros "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess HECATE; it could be related to Greek aikia "torture"; or it could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". The Romans falsely derived it from Greek katharos "pure" and changed their spelling from Katerina to Katharina to reflect this. The name belonged to a 4th-century saint and martyr from Alexandria who was tortured on the famous Catherine wheel. This name was also borne by two empresses of Russia, including Catherine the Great, and by three of Henry VIII's wives.
Not the best name in the world, is it?

ok... here's mine David m Usage: English, Jewish, French, Spanish, Russian, Czech, and (believe it or not) Biblical (not exactly "exotic") pronounced: Day-vid (english), da-veed (french) P.S. If you check up "David" at the site, my name owns any and all names that sound similar Basically, my name means "Beloved" in Hebrew b/c of King David. My screen name, "Zonga"... good times... Zonga was a name I saw in a book (well, whatda know?) and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY liked it (just sounds cool) so, then, I used it as a screen name when I played a video game called, "Starcraft"... I don't play it anymore btw... And I recently just started joining forums (they're great, btw) and so, I decided to stick with "Zonga" since the name is just so damn cool.
