Private school? Never been. We have one in town. More expensive than public and the parents of the private school kids still have to pay taxes to benefit the public one. Why not send your kid to the public one?! I don't get it.

I think a lot of it was the whole religion-based thing. I've gone to Catholic school my whole life, and though I don't think it makes that much difference in elementary school, once you get into junior high and high school, it's more...protected I guess. But not like you don't know what goes on other places, it's just more just that people don't bring drugs to school, and there's no making out in the halls, so it's more focused on learning. My old school I think was a bit of a waste of money, but now I go to one of the best schools in the state, and I love it, because everyone (well, almost everyone, there are a few exceptions) wants to learn. They're not just there because they have to be. Oh yeah, and there are a lot more Harry Potter nerds too.

No drugs? I'm pretty sure they sell drugs at Pella Christian. The kids there are actually worse than us. It's weird but true.

Well, at least not any that I've seen. I hang around with a pretty innocent group though. There probly is some, but mostly outside of school.
I know some of the other private schools around here are pretty bad, but mine's all-girls and it's pretty hard to get in in the first place.

I go to a Christian Catholic Private School. Waay better then the public schools in our distric. I've gone to private schools my whole life. (We have doors on our bathroom stalls) People send their kids for a few reasons: A.) Keep them in an enviroment where they can learn more about their religion. B.) Put them somewhere where the teachers are stict, but fun (not all the time, though) C.) Kepp 'em away from the so-called "Bad gothic/punk public school kids. "All public school kids are bad" NOT!!!!! ha ha ha. lol. j/k

Oh yeah! My school has a pretty strict dress code, and we can only wear jeans once a week and stuff. It's nice though, because people can't dress all slutty. It keeps the mood better I think.

I go to a public school, a middle school. We do have doors on our bathroom stalls too, lol. We have a dress code, except some kids dont really follow it, but the teachers dont seem to care for some reason. But we don't dress slutty at our school, pretty much no one has had to change into their gym shorts (thats if your skirt or shorts are too short) all year. But there's another middle school where I live, and the people there dress really slutty. and i ask them if the teachers care and they dont.

I would hate a dress code. We have rules of course, like no halter tops. I always wear jeans to school! Sooo comfy!

Yeah, I think it depends on the school, both how strict they are and where the kids are coming from. Because some parts of town are definitely better to live in than other parts.

yeah, the lady who enforces the dress code at our school is evil! Once she told my friend that "chubby girls like you don't look good in skirts that short" and she told one of my best friends that her shirt made her look like a slut right in front of her mom!
