But you all forget that one day there is going to be a huge earthquake and California will fall off the land mass into the ocean. Like a modernday Atlantis.

You never know. And do you want your decendants there when it happens?

Southern California is so much less that it is on TV ... its not the great place that the OC or Entertainment Weekly make it out to be
Its super dirty - run down in so many places - ridiculous amounts of traffic ..... if you went there for a week you would change your mind about wanting to live there
Northern Cali on the other hand - is awesome

OMG, Steamroller, Southern California is great! Its not that dirty, just a little polluted in SOME places. but the beaches are fine, and the traffic isnt that bad either! And Ive spent more than a week there on quite a few occasions, and I still wouldnt mind living there!

you will not believe this! somebody in DC actually asked my friend if we have bottled water in Iowa! do people seriously think that we're stuck in some time loop in the 1800's?

Lol I think it's kinda funny...Ignorance is bliss for many... About the Southern Cali thing, I've been in San Diego for more than a week several times, as my grandpa lives there, and it is beautiful. Sure there's traffic, but it's not any worse than other big cities. I dunno about the beaches though, I haven't gone to one in awhile. But I wouldn't want to live there, cuz I prefer rain to too much sun. Random thought: Is everybody else hearing tons of birds in the morning? I like the pretty-sounding ones, but those danged crows make awful noises when they scrape their feet across the gutter.

Oh ick...Vultures scare me. Luckily I've only seen them in zoos or cages or whatever. I don't know why anyone would actually go to the trouble of getting hold of some though. Every time I think of Vultures, I think of those ones in The Jungle Book. And then I think of the Beatles cuz of the hair lol.
