DON'T GET OFFENDED, but honestly Philo, you take things much too serious. It's a bit more annoying, I think, of you to correct me then if you'd just let it go. I'm not discriminating against Hikari at all, or anyone who has a homo-bisexual preference, and she knows that. She's not going to freak out at me and say I'm "harsh" and all that. Chill Philo, chill.
There, no don't get mad at me like you usually do, I was only being honest.

lol I'm not mad. And its not like I'm lesbian, so I wouldn't be offended. I just thought I'd let you know, so if you meet someone random in life whose lesbian you don't go up to her and say "so you're one of those lesbians?" That's all I meant, just giving advice, don't take offense, because none was intented

LOL, I don't randomly walk up to people and ask them if they're lesbian. Sounds like fun though, I just got a new hobby.

wow elysium...hope you didn't get in any trouble. there were some nasty teachers in my old high school that said stuff like that to students---and boy did I want to go after them (not like a fist fight, but I had..well, certain powers afforded to me as a politically in student from the school, but I decided to let it go), once they said something like that to one of my friends in spanish class. The teacher called her stupid!! GRRR. Actually, in my sr. year the head of the drama department said I lacked common sense...just in a meaner way...in front of most of the caste. Boy did that tick me off, but I got my revenge...believe you me, hehe. Not anything bad, he just didn't get my talented singing voice for the next production...and seeing as I was the only guy that could sing in the particular way that was needed for the part I was going to get...I think it hurt him more than it did me. He ended up having to cast a girl for that part, who had a pretty lousy voice to boot (but she was a decent actress)...which really didn't change much of the play around, it just wasn't the ideal situation.
anyway, professors usually are leaps and bounds better than teachers. They're never really mean to students, though some really have apathy as to whether or not students in their class do well. But, at least they're pretty equal and not vindictive, and usually pretty intelligent.

*glares at Sam* I didnt exactly call them stupid. There were just a few insults thrown back and forth. And anyways, two of the teachers were perverts, they deserved it.

lol HP. If it were up to me, I'd let ya wear anything you wanted...just not a 10 year old. Somewhere around 8th grade parents should loosen their strings I think, but it should be different for every kid cuz kids are sooo different at that age. Thank god I got to leave high school and everything before that for college (= It's a good trade lol. hrm...did I ever yell at teachers? that's a good question...of which I'm asking myself ...hrm...I think i've had words, but never yelled. I kind of feel bad for teachers, even sometimes the bad ones...they don't get nearly what they should from their jobs---both in terms of respect and earnings.

I definitely would never ever let my daughter wear anything she wanted, because I want my daughter to repsect herself and not want to dress like a slut. Also, I wouldn't let my son wear anything I think is inappropriate either. I appreciate it that my parents care about my self-image, and I don't mind their clothing rules.

...and now I go off because I think too much
Those who wear cloths that show off skin are often told that "they have so little confidence that they have to show off every inch of their body." But what if, for some of them at least, it isn't true?
Maybe they're proud of their body and want to show it off.
I mean, if I had a hot body...and I happened to like and feel comfortable in those tight little tanktops and short skirts, I would probably wear it.
I always say if you comfortable and like it, wear it. Maybe people just happen to be comfortable and like to wear clothes that show some skin.

All the girls I've ever known who dressed like that did it for attention. It's sad, but really all you ever hear about anymore is sex. it used to be something very private and, well, nice, but all people ever do is make it seem like a cheap thrill. The reason why this is relevant is that even teenagers obsess about sex theses days, and it's reflected in the new fashions. Girls who want to be virgins get mocked and made fun of for having morals, what's WRONG with this world?? Anyways, it's true that most girls DO wear "inappropriate" clothing to get attention, and as teenagers I think they're getting waaay ahead of themselves. It all adds up to kids trying to grow up too fast. I say once you're 18, wear whatver you like, but at least keep your kids kids why you still can.
